Keke Palmer arrived on the red carpet for the world premiere of Pixar’s Lightyear looking like a woman ready to have fun in space.
On June 8, Palmer took the Space Ranger theme and ran absolutely wild with it. The Nope actor wore a sequined royal blue midi skirt with a sheer, multicolored Lycra top, finished with neon sandals to match the color of her eyeshadow as well as her bright yellow manicure.
We appreciate anyone ready to take a fashion chance, and Palmer obviously looks beautiful. Plus, this is an animated Disney film above all else. Playful dressing ought to be encouraged, if not downright mandatory.
In Lightyear, Palmer voices the character of Izzy, one of Buzz’s intergalactic companions. On her Instagram, Palmer posted a clip from the movie’s trailer with a sweet caption referencing her character. “Izzy is gonna need y’all’s emotional support in theaters here soon,” she wrote. “We’re headed to infinity and beyond with @pixarslightyear starting June 17.”
Keke Palmer is not one for a boring fashion moment. Just check out the vibrant green oversized suit she wore for an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in March. There was nothing minimalist about it. Underneath the suit was not some simple white button-down or even bare skin, but a bold, striped, floor-length shirtdress, which she left mostly unbuttoned.
To infinity and beyond, indeed.
