Kontoor Brands, a leading global lifestyle apparel company, has appointed Donald Kohler as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective April 24, 2023. Kohler will succeed Ken Dennard, who will retire at the end of June after serving as CFO for over a decade.
Kohler joins Kontoor Brands from HanesBrands, where he held the position of Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer. He brings over 25 years of experience in the apparel industry, holding various leadership roles in finance, accounting, and operations. Kohler’s expertise in driving financial performance, implementing strategic initiatives, and managing complex global businesses will be instrumental in supporting Kontoor Brands’ long-term growth plans.

Prior to his tenure at HanesBrands, Kohler held various leadership positions at Gildan Activewear, including Vice President of Finance for the Americas and Global Controller. He began his career at Deloitte & Touche, where he specialized in auditing and consulting services for the retail and consumer products industries.
Kohler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)..
