Cos launches eyewear collection with Linda Farrow
H&MCOS
The 53-year-old eyewear label was a pioneer in making prescription frames fashionable and remains much in demand. But it’s also pitched securely in the luxury sector with prices going the several hundreds to well over £1,000.
By contrast, the new collection of sunglasses with COS is pitched just below £100 rising to £135.
The women’s line comprises nine pieces including five “iconic models”, from the label’s popular aviator style to the wayfarer, “to enhance everyday life”. Details include cutouts, golden ornaments, and “revisited contemporary colours”.
Silhouettes are square, rectangular or round with styles featuring heavy acetate frames or half-rims.
COS said the pieces “stand out for their irreproachable quality, while the lenses offer full protection against UV rays”.
The collection is available globally on the COS webstore, as well as in selected boutiques.
