Fausto Puglisi unveils his first couture collection for Roberto Cavalli

After womenswear, menswear and accessories, Fausto Puglisi is now venturing into couture. The designer at the helm of the Italian house’s style since 2021, has launched his first collection for the Roberto Cavalli
This line caters to the brand’s VIP clients. A dozen looks from the collection will be revealed in the coming days on the famous steps of the Palais des Festivals in Cannes.
The sensual and hyper-feminine collection consists of mini dresses, draped ensembles, maxi dresses featuring high slits, plunging V-necklines as well as pajama suits, emphasizing sumptuous embellishments such as embroidery, rhinestones, sparkling sequins and last but not least extravagant feathers.
“Sophisticated draping is juxtaposed with geometric cuts, crisscross details and corset construction,” described the label in a statement, highlighting the use of “delicate lace, silk chiffon and soft velvet crafted using high-end tailoring techniques.”
“Fausto Puglisi reinterprets the international spirit of Italian glamour, embodied in body-hugging silhouettes and shimmering embellishments,” the house concluded.
According to recent statements made by the label’s CEO, Ennio Fontana, to the business newspaper ‘Il Sole 24 Ore’, Roberto Cavalli is expected to reach 40% growth in 2022 following a 35% increase in 2021.
