For her part, the two-time Ballon d’Or winner, in 2021 and 2022, said: “Mango is a brand that I have always known, that has never been missing from my wardrobe, that I love and admire for its journey and the way it does things. What’s more, the head office is very close to Mollet del Vallès (Barcelona), where I grew up, so it’s very dear to me”. She added that partnering with such a renowned brand in order to make progress towards achieving gender equality “is a privilege”.
This is not Putellas’ first foray into the world of fashion collaborations. The versatile player born in 1994, who currently serves as captain of FC Barcelona, has collaborated in the past with Swiss watch brand HublotEl Ganso
For its part, Mango is no stranger to collaborations with football stars. In 2014, Mango named the legendary French ex-footballer Zinedine Zidane
Founded in 1984 in Barcelona, Mango is currently present in 115 markets worldwide through its network of shops and its online platform. According to its latest financial results, the company achieved a turnover of 1.21 billion euros in the first half of its 2022 financial year, up 25% compared to the same period of the previous year.
