Jennifer Lopez has always been known for breaking fashion rules and for her immaculate sense of style. (Never forget the silky green Versace dress that stole the show at the 2000 Grammy Awards.) Her latest ’fit? A dreamy all-white look that Lopez wore to a press event for her upcoming romantic comedy Shotgun Wedding. She proves once and for all that the “no white after Labor Day” dictate is BS.
The relaxed white blazer and gauzy linen pants are Michael Kors, a designer Lopez has worn several times in the past. Beneath the blazer, the actor and singer is draped in a sheer shirtdress that stops just above her ankles and is styled as a top. While styling a dress as an extra-long top is unconventional—no matter what Katie Holmes would have you believe—the layers give J.Lo an airy silhouette for a classy bride vibe. The whole point is to promote Shotgun Wedding, after all.
Gold jewelry by FoundRae adds the perfect glint to match her signature J.Lo glow (courtesy of JLo Beauty,) and her makeup beat is perfection thanks to celebrity makeup artist Mary Phillips. Also responsible for that radiant J.Lo glow and this monochrome moment: her talented style team, which includes stylists Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, manicurist Tom Bachik, and hair stylist Chris Appleton.

Jennifer Lopez has been doing press alongside costar Josh Duhamel for the rom-com (heavy on the comedy). The premise of the movie is centered around a couple (Lopez and Duhamel) that gather their quirky blended families for a destination wedding. Just as the festivities kick off, the two have second thoughts—but before they can call off the ceremony, it’s crashed by a hostage situation. Lopez and Duhamel navigate the terrifying change of plans to save the day and rekindle their love along the way. It seems Lopez has been leading the revival of wedding comedies, considering she also recently starred in Marry Me, a wedding rom-com, opposite Owen Wilson.
Shotgun Wedding premieres on January 27 on Amazon Prime.
