Tessa Thompson Wore a Frayed Metallic Gown With Matching Thigh-High Boots

Tessa Thompson wore yet another iconic look amid her back-to-back press tours for Westworld and Thor: Love and Thunder.

For the London premiere of Thor, in which she plays Valkyrie, the actor wore a metallic Oscar de la Renta gown paired with thigh-high boots which peeked out from behind a high slit. The dress also featured distressed detailing along the bodice and hem, with the skirt flowing into a small train that almost resembles a superhero cape.

Thompson accessorized with arms cuffs and a choker, and wore her hair in center-parted long braids. She opted for makeup in neutral tones, with a smokey eye with a subtle wing and a neutral matte lip.

Tessa Thompson opened up about Valkyrie’s romantic storyline in an interview with in June. “We talked about it a lot, it was big topic of conversation,” she said. “Because I think rightfully there’s this real want in audiences to see characters be very clearly queer or LGBTQIA inside these spaces. And I think it’s hugely important to have representation.”

She continued, “I hope that she’s a character that fans continue to connect to, that we have a lot of time to explore her, in all of her humanity. But whether or not she finds love in this movie doesn’t mean she’s not still a fabulous queer character that is open to finding love when it makes sense.”

Thor: Love & Thunder hits theaters on Friday, July 8.
