No one does an off-duty look quite like Emily Ratajkowski. Whether she’s taking her son for a stroll or rolling up to a fashion show, the model always appears as chic as she does relaxed. Last week she took two of her favorite outfit essentials—oversized suiting and abs-baring tops—and combined them into one peak EmRata ’fit.
On March 22, the My Body author was spotted in New York taking her dog for a walk in a roomy two-tone blazer. Ratajkowski paired the effortlessly cool outerwear with an oversized white button-down and a black sports bra. She finished off the look with baggy leather pants, black cowboy boots, square sunglasses, and a hat from the production company Elara Pictures, where her husband works. Despite the structured elements, the look was completely at ease.
Slouchy suiting and exposed midriffs are classic Ratajkowski, and part of the reason they play so well together here is that her unbuttoned shirt lends just enough texture to keep things feeling put-together. (It’s also an extra layer of defense against unpredictable spring weather.) Playful additions like cowboy boots and a colorful dog leash only add to her ensemble’s appeal.
With warmer weather on the way, now is the perfect time to take a page from Emily Ratajkowski’s book—who couldn’t use a fresh approach to spring layering? And while the model styled her blazer-shirt-bra combo with leather pants and boots, you can easily swap them out for jeans and sneakers, baggy pants and loafers, or a miniskirt and sandals.
