We knew Lizzo would make the red carpet her own. While the pop star usually attends music industry events, she crossed over to the screen side of things tonight, attending the 2022 Emmys as a nominee for her reality show on Amazon, Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls. The program—a competition to find full-figured backup dancers for her Bonnaroo performance—is up for best competition program. Lizzo was the host and executive producer of the series.
Styled by Jason Rembert, Lizzo attended the awards in a cherry red tulle gown paired with red strappy heels plus Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, her hair styled by Shelbeniece Swain, makeup look by Alexx Mayo, and nails by Eri Ishizu, per Lizzo’s Instagram.
The only thing missing from this outfit? Her maybe-engagement ring, which popped up on that finger during another event for the series. ICYMI, Lizzo has been dating comedian Myke Wright since at least April, and they seem super happy together.
This is the singer’s first Emmy nomination. When her category was announced in July, she celebrated on Instagram, writing, “WATCH OUT FOR THE BIG GRRRLS IS EMMY NOMINATED my grrrls we didn’t do this for awards, we did this for ourselves.
