In Sarah Jessica Parker’s new film, Hocus Pocus 2 (which premieres on September 30th), she may play an evil and slightly goofy witch who sucks the souls of children for fun—but her chic look for the movie’s New York City premiere last night had her channeling another one of her iconic screen characters. The outfit’s bold colors, silhouette, and sky-high shoes were all something that Sex and The City would totally rock today.
Parker opted for uptown elegance, something that’s synonymous with Carrie’s Upper East Sider style. The star wore a floral-printed jacket with an embellished trim from Armani Privé’s fall 2022 couture collection, with pink harem-style pants that are a favorite of Carrie’s—especially in the second , when the crew headed to Abu Dhabi for a girl’s trip.
But would it be a true homage to Carrie if there wasn’t a stiletto? Sarah Jessica Parker wore satin pink Fawn pumps from her own shoe line, SJP Collection—though at $365, they’re a more affordable style than Carrie’s beloved Manolo Blahniks, which now go for upwards of $900 a pop. Even so, the whole ensemble has us envisioning Carrie gallivanting around Manhattan in it today—you know, probably just to grab a coffee.
