There’s nothing TikTok users love more than starting a beauty trend and sharing beauty hacks. The platform has become a go-to for beauty pros and newbies alike; when a product rec takes off, it’ll be out of stock for weeks. When a tip goes viral, it goes very viral, and other users share their take on the trend in their own videos. (Remember NikkieTutorials’ jaw contour video? Or the white concealer hack?) In short, TikTok is the perfect place to get makeup inspiration and genius insights you may not have thought of — including applying blush to your under-eye area.
Stay with us here! Tiktok user @paintedbyspencer, a Los Angeles-based makeup artist, was one of the first to showcase the trend in a video. “If you’re not blending your blush up to your under-eye area, you’re missing out,” Spencer shares, showing off a gorgeously glowing complexion. The blush itself is subtle, just a pretty flush of pink that adds a bit of warmth and brightness.

Other TikTokers quickly tried out the hack (using Spencer’s audio, of course) and found it worked for them too. Steph Hui, aka. user @stxph.h, used a dot of Rare Beauty liquid blush under each eye, then added a dot of Tarte concealer before blending. “I thought this would make my dark circles look worse and was fully prepared to redo my makeup… I AM SHOCKED,” Steph wrote of the final result.
For some like Steph, the reddish-toned blush and concealer actually help color correct dark circles! (Remember when people were putting red lipstick under their eyes for a similar purpose?)

Users @aliciarev and @glowwithava cosigned the blush for under-eye circles hack, as did @makeupbymonicaa, who added, “PSA for my brown girls!! Use an orange/coral blush instead it looks WAAYY better and it’ll serve as a color corrector too.”

@Daniellemarcan, on the other hand, tried pink blush for a cute rosy flush.

Basically, the under-eye blush trend looks great on everyone, whether you want to conceal under-eye circles or just look brighter and more awake. Even the legendary Jackie Aina gave the hack her stamp of approval in a video! Now, if you’ll excuse us, we’ve got some blushing to do.
