Kate Middleton marked her first Remembrance Day as the Princess of Wales with a touching nod to Queen Elizabeth II.
On November 12, the Princess of Wales joined Prince William at Royal Albert Hall in London for the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance wearing a Self-Portrait chiffon blazer dress with a red poppy pin to honor fallen military members. She also took the opportunity to pay homage to her late grandmother-in-law by dipping into Queen Elizabeth’s expansive jewelry collection.
Back in June, Middleton rewore the cream variation for the Platinum Party at Buckingham Palace as part of Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
On Sunday, November 13, the Princess of Wales joined Queen Camilla on the balcony of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to overlook the National Service of Remembrance. Along with her poppy pin, the princess’s accessories were a dramatic wide-brimmed black hat and a structured black coat with a pair of pearl drop earrings.
Prince William and King Charles III also attended the service, laying down wreaths at the Cenotaph war memorial.
