Kate Middleton has regularly paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II through her jewelry since the queen’s death last September at the age of 96. So it’s no surprise that on the one-year anniversary of Her Majesty’s passing, the royal once again turned to a sentimental piece of heirloom jewelry.
For a church service at St. David’s Cathedral in Pembrokeshire, Wales, Kate opted for the Queen’s Silver Jubilee diamond and pearl earrings, which the princess wore several times in the week following the monarch’s death last year, including while greeting well-wishers in Sandringham.
While the royals wore black during the official mourning period, today Kate Middleton rewore a burgundy coatdress from Eponine London (which she debuted at the Together at Christmas service last December), along with a matching fascinator, pumps, and Mulberry clutch bag.
Given the significance of the memorial service, it makes sense that Kate would turn to a tried-and-tested formula for the occasion. The Prince and Princess of Wales posted a series of photographs of the queen on their social media accounts to mark the occasion, along with the message: “Today we remember the extraordinary life and legacy of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth. We all miss you. W & C.”
