Lizzo has never been one to play it safe, but after she boarded a jet in cutout thong leggings and stepped out in a PVC housecoat this week, it’s clear she’s taking her looks to the next level.
On April 12, the “Truth Hurts” singer was spotted outside of a Saturday Night Live dinner dressed almost entirely in orange. She wore an orange funnel-neck top with exposed seams, coordinating flared leggings, and a matching bomber jacket. An orange mask, peach nails, and an orange leather handbag with a matching mask attached to it kept the theme going. (Call it traffic-cone-orange chic.) To offset the tonal vibes, Lizzo finished her look with white sneakers.
While so much orange could easily overpower an outfit, the musician kept her silhouette simple and her materials cohesive—a smart way to let a color story speak for itself.
Lizzo is far from the only celebrity to embrace punchy brights this season: Zendaya, Keke Palmer, and Karlie Kloss have all recently been spotted in neon solids at some point this season. (Lizzo’s new shapewear line, Yitty, is also packed with single-color gems.)
