Aéropostale launches kids eyewear collection
Fashion retailer Aéropostale announced on Thursday that it has teamed up with A&A Optical, a manufacturer and distributor of eyewear frames, to launch a new kids eyewear collection.
A&A Optical, who also manufactures Aéropostale’s existing frame collection, designed the kid-friendly eyewear to fit the unique fit and proportions of children’s facial features. To match the active lifestyles of kids, the frames also feature lightweight materials, flexible hinges, and adjustable nose pads.
The collection is available in vibrant and colorful designs directly inspired by the colorways of Aéropostale stores, and inline with the brand’s messages of self-expression, embracing individuality, and inclusion.
“We drew inspiration from Aéropostale’s rich heritage of casual and contemporary fashion,” said A&A Optical product development managers, Walter Roth and Josh Vickery.
“The frames reflect the spirit of adventure, freedom, and youthful energy that the brand is known for, bringing that essence into the eyewear designs.”
Available for purchase from eye care professionals at eye care retail centers nationwide, the collection follows the successful launch of Aéropostale’s Gen-Z eyewear collection last July.
“The launch of Aéropostale’s Gen-Z eyewear collection last July has turned into a tremendous success,” added Robert Liener, president of A&A Optical. “In the first three quarters of sales, we have been able to exceed the goals and projections of sales by a significant margin.
“Because of this success, we just launched the Aéropostale kids eyewear collection in June 2023. Our expectations are that the frame lines will continue to get stronger traction, as well as help A&A Optical expand our international presence.”
