ComplexCon eyes Hong Kong in 2024
Complex announced on Tuesday the launch of ComplexCon Hong Kong, set to take place from March 22 to 24, 2024, at the AsiaWorld Expo, marking the festival’s inaugural foray into Asia.
ComplexCon, recognized as a cultural World Fair, has been hosted in Los Angeles, California since 2016. The event brings together the world’s most influential brands and artists for an immersive two day festival highlighting style, sneakers, art, food, music, and inspiration.
The festival has featured iconic artistic directors in the past, including Verdy, Takashi MurakamiPharrell Williams
Projected to attract over 30,000 guests from across Asia and the globe, ComplexCon Hong Kong also aims to provide an unprecedented experience for pop culture enthusiasts, positioning itself as a key cultural tentpole moment on the international festivities circuit.
“With the global appeal of urban culture, we at ComplexCon have set our eyes on becoming an annual festival that defines where the next things begin for our massive community from around the world,” said a spokesperson of ComplexCon Hong Kong.
“Hong Kong has long been at the heart of the global urban culture scene, whose local artists and entrepreneurs collaborate with the international community, to drive cultural conversations in both the East and the West. We are excited to bring ComplexCon to Hong Kong, marking a unique milestone in this increasingly expansive scope of the global phenomenon of culture convergence by bringing in top designers, creatives artists and talents to gather at this 3-day festival.”
ComplexCon Hong Kong is supported by the Mega Arts and Cultural Events Fund (Mega ACE Fund) of the HKSAR Government, emphasizing its role as an east-meets-west platform for cultural exchange between the Greater Bay Area and the rest of Asia and the world. The Hong Kong Tourism Board is the event’s supporting organization, further underlining the city’s pivotal role in the global urban culture scene.
The first wave of tickets for ComplexCon Hong Kong is set to be released on November 29, 2023, with the announcement of headline artists and performances scheduled for December.
