On Remembrance Day, Kate Middleton paid homage to Queen Elizabeth II by attending the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall.
Accompanied by her husband Prince William, as well as King Charles and Queen Camilla, Middleton arrived at the solemn event wearing a black long-sleeved dress and two pieces of jewelry that pay tribute to her late grandmother-in-law.
One of these pieces was the pearl drop earrings, gifted to Princess Elizabeth by the Hakim of Bahrain on her wedding day in 1947.
Middleton had previously worn these earrings on her first Remembrance Day as the Princess of Wales in 2022.
While she decided not to pair them with the four-strand pearl and diamond choker she wore last year, Middleton instead showcased Queen Elizabeth’s beloved three-strand pearl necklace which the queen was known for wearing every day.
The necklace still carries profound sentimental value, as Middleton has also worn it as a tribute to the late matriarch at a luncheon at Buckingham Palace following Queen Elizabeth’s passing on September 8, 2022..
