Hailey Bieber might as well have stepped out of a time machine from the early 2000s.
On March 5 the model traipsed around Paris wearing a little pink satin dress, keeping the look from skewing too sweet with a pair of chunky, square-toe thigh-high black boots. Basically, the entire ensemble was giving Bratz Doll in the best way, especially given the dress’s plunging neckline, the lack of accessories, and her pin-straight hair.
As for her makeup, Bieber fully committed to the Y2K aesthetic with frosty lids, a dark pink lip, and an overall glowy face.
This isn’t the only recent outfit Bieber has worn that is giving us full-on flashbacks. Earlier that same day, Bieber stepped out in a butterfly top exposing her stomach, baggy low-rise jeans, and an oversized leather jacket. She topped off the look with a pair of skinny sunglasses that would have even made Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen jealous back in the day. Clearly, Bieber has put a lot of thought into this week’s theme.
Hailey Bieber is not the only one living in the past at Paris Fashion Week. Bella Hadid, who previously bleached her eyebrows for the Versace show in Milan, has fully embraced the look and continues to lean into the ’90s aesthetic, unlike her sister Gigi Hadid, who dyed her brows back to a more visible shade soon after.
On March 4, Bella stepped out in the most ’90s beauty look we can possibly imagine, donning skinny antennae strands, a slicked-back ponytail, and the obligatory brown lip liner paired with a slightly lighter lip gloss. Frankly, the plaid minidress and the black gloves would make the entire look feel like a very expensive costume if she didn’t look so undeniably cool.
Honestly, this writer is not exactly happy that low-rise jeans and skinny brows are coming back into style, but I can’t deny how much fun celebrities seem to be having dressing up in looks that would make The Spice Girls proud. Just let me know when the Limited Too initial purse is a thing again; I’m sure I’ve got mine around here somewhere….
