It’s summer and legs are on the loose, as Katie Holmes demonstrated when she stepped out in over-the-knee boots, a long trench coat, and absolutely no pants in sight.
The outfit, proudly displayed on the actor-writer-director’s Instagram story, includes a gray tee that is either tucked into or sewn onto black panties, and no accessories or jewelry. The ensemble is statement enough. Sky’s out, thighs out.
The Dawson’s Creek star tends to stick to timeless, feminine pieces, like this yellow dress and Coastal Grandma cardigan ensemble she wore to a Kate Spade event in March (with a nose ring, haaaay!) But she’s not averse to trying edgier looks. Last September, she rocked a strung-together dress with cutouts all over the place, paired with sneakers for an even more downtown vibe.
In addition to trying new styles, Katie Holmes also has plenty of excitement in her personal and professional lives. Holmes is happily dating musician Bobby Wooten III. She was first photographed with her new beau in April. Wearing a white tee and matching oversized overalls, a teal cardigan, and her hair up in a messy bun, Holmes appears happy and comfortable in pap pics you can see here. Wooten is equally cozy in blue sweats, a gray button-down, and a blue jacket. It’s unclear when the pair entered into their relationship, but we know that by April it was serious enough to meet the parents. In one pic, Wooten can be seen hugging Holmes’s mom, Kathy Stothers-Holmes.
