Only a star like Zendaya could stand out while literally blending in. The actor, who is currently shooting the sequel to Dune, just posted a picture with, well, some dunes. Letting her hair fly free as she soaks up the desert’s rays, the fashion icon opted for a simple camel cardigan, buttoned only at the top, and a solitary diamond necklace. Understated and elegant, mere mortals could not make this a look but Zendaya is on her own level.
In true A-lister fashion, Zendaya dropped the casual Instagram pic with no caption in the middle of the day right before Thanksgiving. Just, like, “Hey, nothing to promote, simply being gorgeous on main. As you were.” Obviously, fans and followers ate it up. Celebrity stylist Kara Welch commented, “🌟🌟🌟🌟,” and fellow actor Storm Reid added, “yup.” No brands were credited, but you could probably recreate this ensemble at home with sweatpants and a J.Crew cardigan. It’s so nice to see Z in something casual for once. Intellectually, I understand that she dresses up for red carpets and isn’t always in Valentino or whatever, but scrolling through pictures quickly, one might think she never gets a break from heels and tight dresses, or, more recently, a sheer bodysuit with glitter-covered short shorts and an oversized blazer. The effect is sophisticated, to be sure, but imagine how long it takes to get in and out of that fit every time you have to pee.
On her days off, it seems like the Spider-Man: No Way Far From Homecoming star opts for classic basics; in addition to this cute cardi, her wardrobe includes the light blue button-down she wore to a date at the Louvre with boyfriend/costar Tom Holland.
She’s thriving, she’s glowing, and she’s hopefully packing sunscreen.
