The NAACP Image Awards were in full swing on February 26, honoring the likes of Jennifer Hudson, Will Smith, Issa Rae, and more accomplished Black entertainers for their achievements over the past year.
Hudson not only took home the award for outstanding actress in a motion picture for her portrayal of Aretha Franklin in Respect but was awarded the night’s top honor of entertainer of the year. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were also in attendance to accept the President’s Award, which has previously been presented to influential figures like Condoleezza Rice, LeBron James, and Rihanna.
